Applications must be submitted no later than 12:00 midnight on Monday, April 6, 2026.
The Avon Club Scholarship is a $3,000 scholarship awarded annually to a female senior high school student residing within the Avonworth School District. Senior students residing Avonworth High School as well as private and home school students are eligible, but the student’s home address must be located within the Avonworth School District footprint.
The Avon Club Foundation Scholarship is awarded to two graduates each year. Selection criteria include essay response related to scholastic, athletic, artistic, part-time work, and volunteer activities. Additional essay questions ask how your personal activities and future goals align with the Avon Club’s vision “to make our community the best place to live, work, learn and play while caring for the needs of others” and our goals “to support education, preservation, recreation and social responsibility.”
There are two phases to the selection process.
Phase 1 will use a matrix of weighted criteria to compare responses in the application and narrow the applicant pool to 4-6 young women who will be asked to attend an interview. Applicants will be notified in March if they have been selected to move on to phase two.
Phase 2 is an interview by members of the Avon Club Scholarship committee and will consist of 3-4 predetermined questions asked of each applicant.
Two scholarship winners will be determined by the equally weighted combination of scores from phases one and two.
